About Me
I’m Mallika Verma, a psychologist, and couples and family therapist.
My therapeutic work is informed by my experiences growing up in India and my training in the UK.
I follow a systemic approach, which means I take into account themes related to the wider context
(such as gender, age, ethnicity, religion, class and culture),
so as to understand what impacts each person's unique position in the world.
I focus on getting to know people apart from their problems and I strive to be respectful of each person's beliefs, narratives and life experiences.
I use supervision to continue learning, and to make useful links between theory and practice.
I try my best to keep up-to-date with new developments in the field.
